About The Position

The Workplace Claims & Safety Clerk assists in managing claims and the company safety program.

Requirements

  • Should possess good interpersonal, organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • The incumbent should possess the level of business sophistication and knowledge generally associated with an associate degree.
  • Proficiency in Word, XL, Powerpoint, & an aptitude to quickly learn new software such as proprietary TPA software.
  • Maintains confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in liability and workers compensation claims is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Claims Administration
  • Assists in completing all accident reports for all types of claims – WC, GL, product, cart, fuel, & auto
  • For WC – assists in tracking all hosts on light duty
  • For GL –Assists in recording video, gathering statements & pictures from the store, & providing any other necessary info to the adjuster for investigation purposes
  • Assists in handling medical billing call & routes medical bills to the appropriate adjuster.
  • Assists in informing AP Specialists of all major safety claims and violations within their stores.
  • Assists in managing the drug testing program
  • Ensures that all new hires complete a pre-employment drug test.
  • Email random drug test notices bi-weekly.
  • Receives positive & rejected results and notifies the stores of the results.
  • Orders drug test supplies
  • Assists in ordering safety supplies – mats, gloves, spill stations, etc4. Assists in completing OSHA logs
  • Complete yearly OSHA logs for each store
  • Complete OSHA required surveys
  • Enter OSHA log data for all stores into the DOL website
  • Handles all DOL OSHA complaints and OSHA store visit issues
  • MVRs – Run motor vehicle reports for all company drivers and internal drivers for deliveries.
