A Workover Rig Floorhand is responsible for all activities conducted on the workover rig floor by performing but not limited to the following duties: Essential Duties & Responsibilities Works with a three to five person crew performing maintenance and repairs on oil & gas wells Responsible for operating the mud pump, pipe wranglers, mixing fluids and performing equipment upkeep Picks up/lays down pipe and latches tubing in elevators Assists in loading and off-loading pipe and other items Manages tools on the workover rig floor and assists in daily maintenance Assists with rigging up and rigging down the workover rig Works in the shop or assists in NDES Yard maintenance when necessary Assists in repairs and preparing workover rig for deployment when necessary Attends and participates in daily and monthly safety meetings Understand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies, and any other regulations that are required Report any and all incidents immediately to Rig Supervisor Able to work in all weather conditions Performs other duties as directed by management
