About The Position

The position is based in the Winchester, VA area within the Line Operations department. The role involves managing and working alongside Line Crews to ensure that construction projects meet company and customer objectives of safety, schedule, performance, cost, and quality. The Working Foreman will effectively manage projects and personnel while promoting safety, communicating with line personnel about construction progress, and providing direction and support to ensure the safe accomplishment of their duties. The position also requires active participation in new project transitions, input in project scheduling, and cost control.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of energized electrical line and substation construction experience.
• Leadership skills.
• Communication skills.
• Analytical skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver's class D minimum license; Class A CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and work alongside Line Crews to ensure construction projects meet safety, schedule, performance, cost, and quality objectives.
• Communicate and work with line personnel to monitor construction progress and identify potential issues.
• Provide direction, support, and assistance to line employees for safe task completion.
• Participate in new project transitions and contribute to project scheduling.
• Review purchase orders, subcontracts, and project documents.
• Control project costs and ensure efficient project completion.
• Review job cost reports with Supervisor or General Foreman for accuracy.
