About the position
Workforce Services Representatives provide a broad range of services in accordance with the Workforce Investment Act; assist job seeking customers and business customers seeking qualified applicants; and provide priority employment services to eligible veterans and disabled veterans as defined by the Department of Labor. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others. This position is only open to veterans of the United States Military. You must attach proof of service to your application to be considered for this position. This Workforce Services Rep 4 will work with veterans and help to promote EmployNV Business Hub Veterans' programs and services, including the Hire Vets Medallion Program, Patriot Employer Program, and Silver State Works. The incumbent will develop relationships with the businesses and the Veteran community. The position's responsibilities will include common sales techniques such as cold calling, sales presentations to large audiences, and networking to build and maintain relationships within the business community. This job will consist of both office and field work within the community, so a valid driver's license is required.
