The Workforce Management Leader at First Horizon Bank is responsible for overseeing the Retail workforce management program, which includes daily administration of the SmartShift staffing model platform, strategic planning, forecasting, and execution of initiatives. This role involves creating and reporting metrics to inform executives about workforce levels and productivity, while collaborating with various teams to ensure optimal staffing and service levels in Retail Banking.

  • Lead the daily administration of the SmartShift platform for Retail staffing.
  • Conduct long-term strategic planning and forecasting for workforce management.
  • Create and report metrics to inform executives on workforce productivity and levels.
  • Collaborate with functional support teams and front-line business leaders for capacity planning and scheduling.
  • Develop and publish new FTE goals biannually and maintain current job descriptions.
  • Provide training on SmartShift for new hires and refresher training for existing staff.
  • Manage external Workforce Management relationships and leverage vendor expertise.
  • Apply learnings from SmartShift to non-banking center roles to optimize staffing models.
  • Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of experience in workforce management or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and general MS Office software for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities and work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with workforce management platforms beyond SmartShift.
  • Knowledge of banking operations and retail banking practices.
