About The Position

The Workforce Development Specialist, Senior is a permanent, full-time position with the Department of Commerce. Positions are located in Montgomery. This is professional work in support of local, regional, or statewide management, planning, or related evaluation, monitoring, review, and implementation of state and federal workforce development programs.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of state and federal workforce development programs
• Collaborate with local, regional, and statewide stakeholders to advance workforce development goals
• Analyze data and evaluate program effectiveness to inform strategic planning and decision-making
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, business leaders, and other stakeholders
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to local workforce development boards and other organizations
• Develop and manage budgets, reports, and other documents as required
• Represent the Department of Commerce at local, regional, and statewide events and meetings
