Workforce Development Instructor (WFD): Artificial Intelligence (AI)
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced, engaging Instructor of (AI) Artificial Intelligence to join our instructional team on a part-time, as-needed basis. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, practice-focused training that equips adult learners with the skills necessary to understand, apply, and leverage artificial intelligence tools in modern workplace settings. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of AI concepts, prompt writing, Microsoft 365 productivity tools, and real-world applications of generative AI. This position supports workforce development by preparing learners to stay competitive, work more efficiently, and unlock new opportunities in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, Digital Media, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Midjourney, Microsoft 365 AI features) in professional or instructional settings
- Experience with prompt engineering, content generation, data analysis, and workflow automation
- Valid Driver's License (A valid driver’s license is required. Travel within the Central Pennsylvania region may be necessary.)

Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of experience teaching or training adult learners preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into practical, accessible instruction
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging instruction on AI fundamentals, prompt writing, content generation, and workplace applications
- Teach learners how to use AI tools to analyze data, streamline tasks, and enhance productivity in Microsoft 365 (Office) apps
- Demonstrate real-world examples of AI use across industries and job roles
- Emphasize responsible AI use, digital literacy, and workplace readiness
- Provide meaningful, timely feedback on learner assignments and performance
- Record attendance and maintain accurate course documentation
- Develop lesson plans aligned with employer, industry, and workforce development expectations
- Prepare hands-on activities, demonstrations, and practice scenarios that reflect real workplace tasks
- Performs other duties as assigned.
