About The Position

The Workforce Development Associate supports the day-to-day operations for the company’s apprenticeship and workforce development programs. Reporting directly to the Workforce Development Manager, this role helps implement, maintain, and strengthen all apprenticeship initiatives. Required travel up to 60%. This position assists with recruitment efforts, coordination of related instruction curriculum, on-the-job learning (OJL) tracking, and the development of partnerships with public and private institutions to attract, develop and retain top talent. The Workforce Development Associate plays a key role in ensuring programs run efficiently, remain compliant, and continue to grow in alignment with company goals.

Requirements

  • This position requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, team-focused environment and is eager to contribute and grow within Workforce Development.
  • Associate degree required in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • 0–2 years of experience in recruiting, workforce development, administration, education, or a related field preferred. Internship or relevant coursework may be considered.
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintaining apprenticeship documentation in compliance with 29 CFR Part 29 & 30, including processing Apprentice documentation and managing electronic records within the Department of Labor RAPIDS system.
  • Ensure compliance with the Department of Labor and resolve program-related inquiries or issues.
  • Serve as a key resource for apprentices and supervisors by responding to questions regarding program requirements, expectations, and progress.
  • Respond to inquiries from the public about apprenticeship opportunities and the application process.
  • Monitor related instruction progress across apprenticeship programs, determine appropriate wage progression for each apprenticeship period, and communicate grade and progress updates to managers.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to maintain compliance with electrician-to-apprentice ratio requirements.
  • Research and support applications for state and local apprenticeship grants to strengthen and expand workforce development programs.
  • 60% travel is required.
