About The Position

The Bilingual Workforce Coach/Instructor empowers individuals by providing adult education/training (Workforce Readiness, ELL, and digital skills instruction), facilitating job placements, supporting long-term retention, and connecting clients to the FOC’s career and financial services. The role also participates in partner and employer relationship development, including supporting bridge-to-career and industry-specific training opportunities.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree in Education, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Digital Literacy, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work experience, and certifications.
  • Previous experience in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or English as a Foreign Language (EFL).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish, oral and written) required
  • Excellent Communication Skills – written and oral, aptitude in a public presentation
  • Medium level or greater in MS suite, Google Suite, Internet, and management information systems, (i.e. Salesforce, Paycor, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a non-judgmental way with a diverse range of people, maintaining a respectful and inclusive culture.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution and significant professional experience (two to five years).
  • Strong understanding of the workforce, income support, financial literacy ,and coaching.
  • Previous work experience with the target population, and/or the ability to provide coaching services in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver integrated workforce services, including skills assessments, job readiness training, retention, follow-up support, income supports and financial coaching.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching on job search, resumes, interviews, career development, and financial literacy (budgeting, credit, savings).
  • Track client progress, manage data, and ensure compliance with record-keeping standards.
  • Coordinates and participates in partner and employer relationship development, including supporting bridge-to-career and industry-specific training opportunities.
  • Plan and deliver English lessons for learners of varying proficiency levels.
  • Collaborate with the team to adapt curriculum and integrate real-life contexts into lessons.
  • Assess and document learners’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Deliver digital skills lessons in English and Spanish, creating an inclusive and engaging learning space.
  • Collaborate with the team to customize curriculum and provide individualized support.
  • Use assessments to track progress and enhance both language acquisition and digital competencies.
  • Tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, providing additional support when needed.
  • Participate in community events and outreach programs to promote workforce development services.
  • Collaborate with local organizations and employers to strengthen program impact and resources.
  • Maintain accurate client data, document outcomes, and track monthly/quarterly progress.
  • Track and achieve established monthly/quarterly individual and program goals.
  • Ensure alignment of services with organizational goals.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching and coaching skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
