The Workforce Associate Case Manager/Workforce Case Manager plays a crucial role in assisting families in the community to achieve greater stability and self-sufficiency. This position involves assessing eligibility needs, providing resources, and empowering families to overcome challenges. The role requires a strong sense of responsibility, adaptability to changing business needs, and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.

  • Interview applicants/clients and assist them in understanding and completing all required paperwork; assess applicants for any employment barriers.
  • Assist program clients in developing an Individualized Plan (IP), assessing, resolving, and removing any possible employment barriers.
  • Advise clients on job development, training, and post-employment services.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and track clients' progress toward meeting IP requirements and goals.
  • Utilize case management techniques to ensure IP engagement, re-assessing and re-evaluating clients' needs to move the client to a self-sufficiency status in a timely manner.
  • Identify required resources and develop an effective work plan; confer with others as appropriate.
  • Correctly and effectively document work activities in program systems/databases.
  • Cultivate relationships with community partners, encouraging the use of the organization's services and programs.
  • Acquire and maintain a highly technical working knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, practices, theories, policies, standards, and protocols for applicable programs.
  • Participate in special projects through committee involvement and program protocols.
  • Prepare paperwork, data entry functions, and other processes in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, and policies; ensure accuracy and completion of case management duties in a timely manner.
  • Monitor clients' work activity engagement and impose sanction process if required.
  • Coordinate the process for applicants/clients to obtain assistance through community support services, childcare, and other resources.
  • Verify public assistance eligibility factors through home visits and record assessment, and determine eligibility for various services.
  • Review client eligibility, calculate eligibility, and investigate for child support, social security, and unemployment payments; assist clients in completing necessary paperwork to obtain outside income through these agencies.
  • Attend and participate in training and educational workshops.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Three years of administrative or customer service experience.
  • Associate's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of the required experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for two years of the required experience.
  • One year of workforce case management experience for Case Manager position.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of community assistance resources and agencies.
  • Workforce case management experience.
