Davies Group is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Lost Time Adjuster to support Nevada claims. This role requires a strong understanding of Nevada Workers’ Compensation statutes and the ability to independently manage lost time claims from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and confident handling indemnity benefits, reserves, and state filings while maintaining compliance and delivering exceptional client service.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience handling Nevada Workers’ Compensation lost time claims
  • Strong working knowledge of Nevada Workers’ Compensation statutes, rules, and their application
  • Demonstrated experience setting and managing reserves
  • Experience managing indemnity calculations and payments
  • Ability to maintain diary compliance and workflow requirements
  • Proven ability to maintain a 97% claim closure ratio
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations, including 24-hour contact with injured employees, employers, physicians, and witnesses
  • Evaluate claim details, Nevada statutes, and case law to determine compensability and overall claim exposure
  • Set and adjust reserves appropriately throughout the life of the claim
  • Initiate and manage timely, accurate indemnity benefit payments
  • Maintain diary systems to ensure proactive claim handling and workflow compliance
  • Prepare and submit required Nevada state filings in a timely manner
  • Monitor medical treatment and coordinate with medical providers as needed
  • Maintain regular communication with all claim stakeholders
  • Negotiate settlements when appropriate while protecting client interests
  • Ensure adherence to client-specific handling instructions and performance standards
