Workers’ Compensation & Insurance Defense Associate Attorney
About The Position
Aligned Talent Acquisition partners with several respected regional and boutique firms across Philadelphia, Wilmington, and the greater Delaware Valley that regularly hire Insurance Defense and Workers’ Compensation attorneys. This posting represents ongoing hiring needs within our client network as firms continue to expand their defense practices to meet increased caseloads in general liability, professional liability, and workers’ compensation matters. We’re connecting with attorneys in the 2–5 year range who have strong litigation skills and experience managing cases from intake through resolution.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school; admission to the Pennsylvania or Delaware bar (or eligibility to waive in)
- 2–5 years of experience in insurance defense, workers’ compensation, or related civil litigation
- Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative defense team
Responsibilities
- Handle discovery, motion practice, depositions, and pre-trial preparation in insurance defense or workers’ compensation cases
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
- Communicate directly with carriers, adjusters, and insured clients
- Manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines and billing requirements
