About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Hearing Representative to join our California team. This in‑office position plays a critical role in representing injured workers before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB). The ideal candidate exercises strong independent judgment, manages legal responsibilities confidently, and collaborates closely with supervising attorneys to achieve successful case outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in California Workers’ Compensation representation required (Applicant side preferred).
  • Knowledge of WCAB procedures, litigation processes, and discovery requirements.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a high‑volume caseload with independence and professionalism.
  • Excellent legal writing, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, including appearances at depositions, hearings, conferences, and trials.
  • Conduct and assist with discovery, including obtaining and reviewing medical and employment records.
  • Negotiate, litigate, and settle both case‑in‑chief matters and legal issues.
  • Support supervising attorneys with case evaluations and strategy development.
  • Draft, file, and review pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and maintain professional communication with all parties involved.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment while managing an active caseload under the direction of supervising attorneys.
