About The Position
Responsible for overseeing Workers' Compensation (WC) claims across multiple operating companies administered by claim service providers and driving optimal outcomes, serving as primary liaison for both internal and external stakeholders for claim-related issues. Protects the assets of the Company from the financial impact of workers' compensation claims and lawsuits while ensuring maximum performance from FedEx Workers' Compensation third party administrator (TPA) and defense counsel. Directs and controls the administration of serious to complex litigated and non-litigated Workers' Compensation claims and related statutorily derivative liability claims asserted against FedEx Companies. Evaluates the exposure to FedEx associated with those claims and decides the appropriate course of action to best protect FedEx from undue loss and to mitigate associated costs. Provides technical direction and training to third party administrators, outside defense counsel, internal customers, and coworkers to ensure compliance with applicable statutes and related rules and regulations in all fifty states and Canada.
