Our employee-owned model means your success is our success. We are seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Claim Representative II to join our Phoenix, AZ team. This position supports a single, dedicated client account and handles Arizona jurisdiction only , offering a focused, predictable, and well-supported environment ideal for seasoned adjusters. This role is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving workers’ compensation claims while delivering exceptional client service rooted in CCMSI’s core values. The position begins with in-office training, transitioning to a true hybrid schedule of one day in office per week , with additional onsite days only for required meetings or training. Please note: This is a claims adjuster position responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving insurance claims. It is not an HR, risk management, or employer-side role.

Requirements

  • Arizona Adjuster License (or ability to obtain within 60 days; employment contingent upon licensure).
  • Arizona ICA Adjuster Authorization.
  • 5–10 years of workers’ compensation claims experience, or equivalent education and skill level.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume desk.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dependable, service-minded, and committed to integrity and client-focused work.

Nice To Haves

  • Municipality account experience.
  • Previous TPA experience helpful.
  • Medical background (terminology, billing/coding, or coverage understanding).
  • AIC designation and/or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and adjust workers’ compensation claims in accordance with CCMSI’s standards and Arizona jurisdiction requirements.
  • Review medical, legal, and vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriateness; negotiate discrepancies as needed.
  • Authorize and issue claim payments within settlement authority.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys based on case facts and client authorization.
  • Select, partner with, and oversee defense counsel.
  • Identify, monitor, and pursue subrogation opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate documentation, reserve recommendations, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support excess reporting requirements as needed.
  • Deliver high-quality service aligned with CCMSI’s client commitments and culture.
