As a national defense firm, we're seeking passionate attorneys licensed in North Carolina with experience in Workers' Compensation defense. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 3-5 years of experience who specialize in defending against all types of workers’ compensation claims. Our team is committed to effectively moving cases through the legal system while vigorously defending our clients’ interests in court. Through our strategic approach and dedication, we strive to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients while upholding the highest standards.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in the State of North Carolina.
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex legal issues effectively.
• Demonstrate excellent research abilities and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Draft and respond to discovery-related motions.
• Regularly attend court appearances.
• Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
• Draft motions for summary judgments.

• Candidates located in or nearby, Charlotte, NC are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and preparing summaries of medical records to effectively advocate for clients.
• Drafting motions and attending hearings to represent clients in court.
• Preparing clients for depositions and attending depositions as needed.
• Drafting initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, trials, and appellate activity.
• Responding to discovery requests and drafting discovery-related motions.
• Regularly attending court appearances to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
• Taking and defending depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
