Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Candidate must have at least three (3) years of experience handling workers' compensation claims
  • Understanding of reserving practices and ability to analyze reserve requests
  • Overall understanding of Corporate Insurance is preferred
  • Strong Understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations, including state specific differences
  • Experience working with TPAs, insurers, and defense counsel
  • Strong working knowledge of claims management systems
  • Financial acumen to evaluate indemnity and medical costs and reserve and settlement requests
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate claims data, spot trends, and make recommendations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the automobile rental industry is a plus, but not required
  • Proficient in excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Partner with TPAs to manage Workers Compensation claims nationwide, helping to drive the claims management process, and reviewing appropriateness of reserves and settlements.
  • Work with field operations team to gather relevant documents to assist TPA with investigation and adjustment of claims.
  • Assist Global Risk Management team with various tasks and projects, including reporting, exposure gathering, certificates of insurance, and invoice processing.
  • Provide reporting to Senior Leadership on a regular basis.
  • Identify high priority matters.
  • Routinely provide feedback and data to operations to minimize company exposure and drive better business results.
  • Identify changes in Workers Comp results through review of analytics, investigate reasons for changes and implement processes to improve quality of file handling.
