About The Position

As an integral member of the Workers’ Compensation team, the Case Manager serves as the primary liaison for clients, ensuring consistent communication and case progression. This role supports attorneys and legal staff by managing key aspects of each case and ensuring a high level of client service throughout the legal process.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in client-facing or customer service roles.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled at processing and summarizing large amounts of information quickly and accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and an eagerness to learn case management software.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (strongly preferred).
  • Prior legal or workers' compensation experience (strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers.
  • Monitor and manage complex case elements including TTD (Temporary Total Disability), PPD (Permanent Partial Disability), MSA (Medicare Set-Aside) payments, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to guide clients through each phase of their case.
  • Order and manage medical records and billing documentation.
  • Prepare and file motions, case statuses, and other relevant documentation with the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission (IWCC).
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support firm operations and case outcomes.
