About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Solutions Architect with expertise in Benefits and Absence to design, implement, and optimize solutions within our Workday ecosystem. This role will demonstrate a strong knowledge of Workday Security and Reporting, ensuring a comprehensive approach to our North American HR Digital Solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to HR and other stakeholders, driving the alignment of Workday capabilities with business needs and enhancing the employee experience through scalable, user-centered solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of HRIS experience specializing in Workday Benefits and Absence.
  • Deep expertise in Workday Benefits and Absence modules, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday Security, role-based access, and data privacy standards.
  • Proficiency in Workday Reporting and Dashboards, with experience creating advanced analytics and insights.
  • Familiarity with Workday HCM, Payroll, and Time Tracking modules is a plus.
  • Experience in implementing and/or redesigning absence policies and benefits structures is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Workday Certification in Benefits and/or Absence is preferred.
  • Workday Security and/or Reporting certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and configuration of Workday Benefits and Absence modules for North America, ensuring alignment with business needs in partnership with the global Workday team.
  • Partner with HR leaders to define benefits and absence strategies, translating them into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Benefits and Absence processes within the broader Workday platform.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and leading practices in Benefits and Absence to design and deliver innovative solutions that enhance employee satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Configure Workday Benefits modules, including health, retirement, and wellness programs, to support annual enrollment and ongoing administration.
  • Manage the configuration of Absence plans, including vacation, sick leave, FMLA, and other leave types, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging Workday features to enhance user experience and efficiency.
  • Stay current with Workday releases, proactively identifying features to improve Benefits and Absence processes.
  • Lead end-to-end system testing for Benefits and Absence enhancements, ensuring solution integrity and functionality.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to define and maintain Workday Security roles, ensuring data access compliance.
  • Provide guidance on security best practices and ensure alignment with organizational policies.
  • Develop and maintain advanced reports and dashboards in Workday to support Benefits and Absence processes and decision-making.
  • Build strong partnerships with regional and global Benefits and Absence teams to co-design effective Workday solutions, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather requirements and provide expert recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of Benefits and Absence-related projects.
  • Lead change management for Benefits and Absence enhancements, ensuring stakeholder alignment and seamless adoption across impacted user groups.
  • Act as the technical lead for end-to-end implementation of Benefits and Absence solutions, including planning, execution, testing, and go-live support.
  • Provide detailed documentation for configurations, workflows, and processes to support ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
  • Support the bi-annual Workday Release updates, including discovery, analysis, recommendations, and regression testing.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Benefits and Absence, resolving complex issues and providing expert-level support in partnership with the Global Workday Team.
  • Work closely with the HR Digital Solutions team to troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to Benefits and Absence.
