About The Position

Altera is seeking a Workday Solution Architect-Contract to be responsible for designing and implementing Workday solutions to meet business-specific needs. This role involves leading the entire system development lifecycle, advising on architectural decisions, configuring the Workday system, and ensuring the solution aligns with best practices and requirements. The Solution Architect will collaborate closely with project teams to deliver successful implementations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of combined experience
  • One (or more) Workday Modules (e.g., Recruiting, HCM, Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking, Benefits, etc.)
  • HCM/Workday Advanced compensation module experience
  • System design, configuration, and implementation
  • Data integration and mapping techniques
  • Industry best practices and Workday configuration standards
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (e.g., explain technical concepts to non-technical users)
  • Project management (e.g., to lead implementation projects effectively)
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements and business need

Responsibilities

  • Understand client business processes and requirements to design a tailored Workday solution (Business Needs Analysis).
  • Develop a comprehensive Workday architecture, including module selection, data mapping, and integrations with other systems (System Design).
  • Configure Workday system settings, workflows, and security roles to match client specifications (Configuration Management).
  • Guide clients through project phases like discovery, design, configuration, testing, and deployment (Project Leadership).
  • Provide expert advice on Workday features, functionalities, and best practices to optimize system usage (Technical Consultation).
  • Create training materials and user guides for end-users and administrators to ensure proper system adoption (Training and Documentation).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, implementation consultants, and client stakeholders to manage project expectations (Stakeholder Management).
  • Identify areas for improvement within Workday implementations and propose solutions to enhance system efficiency (Continuous Improvement).
