About The Position

The Sr Advanced Solution Architect (Workday) role at Light & Wonder (LNW) supports aspects which operate and enhance the Core HCM, Security Administration and Reporting & Dashboards functions of Workday in a global business environment. In addition to specific ERP related activities, the position will manage a team of Workday functional and technical resources, work with business leaders to collaborate and develop tactical and strategic HR operations plans. For day-to-day operations, the position will interact with the internal IT organization and external service providers to pursue multiple concurrent initiatives. The Sr Advanced Solution Architect (Workday) will serve as support to the primary HRIT liaison to the business to understand business needs and help prioritize and lead the delivery team, engage with the business community, both internal and external, to determine needs and identify opportunities for system improvements and maintain the business abreast of upcoming changes. The Sr Advanced Solution Architect Technology will interact with the Platform functionality team, internal COE's, HRBP's, networking teams and external vendors daily to perform the job functionalities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required in Information Systems, BSEE, BSCE, BSEET, or BSCS.
  • 7+ years professional experience in business systems analysis/engineering, solution design and deployment experience.
  • 3+ years of advanced experience in Workday Functional Design and configuration development.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Core HCM, Business Process Configuration, Security Administration and Reporting.
  • Good working knowledge of Core and Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent Management, Time Tracking, Absence Management.
  • Workday Phase 1 & Phase 2 implementations experience required with a good understanding of functional design and testing concepts and Workday business process framework.
  • Knowledge of all phases of system development lifecycle, including new skew implementation and production support.
  • Subject matter expert in the Software Development Lifecycle and operating systems for HCM.
  • US and Global data privacy laws, GDPR and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
  • JIRA, ServiceNow or similar ticketing system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a system administrator for Workday Core HCM, Talent Management, Security Administration and Reporting & Dashboards and the go-to subject matter expert.
  • Provide Technical leadership to People Capability Operations and Business teams in all aspects of the Workday HCM.
  • Participate and/or lead specific projects while working in an environment where we value Knowledge, Openness and Transparency.
  • Manage the deliverables of the offshore delivery teams.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and new functionality in areas related to the Workday product.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with stakeholders and others across the team to define requirements and develop a robust solution.
  • Work with functional teams for discovery and design sessions, as needed.
  • Design, develop, test and deploy Core HCM, Business Process configurations, Security and Reporting.
  • Facilitate communication and information flow between business partners and project teams to refine requirements and deliver on project goals against long-term Roadmap.
  • Provide support to functional owners and end users by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex system issues.
  • Research and minimize reported problems or pain points within HR platforms, drive resolution of issues, analyze security issues, and recommend corrective and proactive action.
  • Establish and adhere to strong ADLC (Application development life-cycle practices) and ensure they are followed for all projects.
  • Partner with internal team members to develop long-term scalable solutions that help improve HR processes and streamline user experience.
  • Create and maintain documentation on Functional Design Documents, and other materials.
  • Implement testing to meet business requirements - perform system testing, and handle User Acceptance testing securing sign-off.
  • Maintain reporting standards and coordinate reporting requirements across multiple Business Units.
  • Deliver training and create training materials as needed.
  • Assist in ensuring that all development efforts stay within budget and are completed by agreed to deadlines.

Benefits

  • The targeted pay range for this role is $105,000 - $140,000.
  • The total compensation package for this position may also include applicable incentive compensation, such as an annual performance bonus.
