About The Position

Legend Biotech is seeking an experienced Workday Project Manager (Contractor) to support the successful execution of a Workday HCM implementation. This role will work closely with the implementation team and internal stakeholders, with a focus on project governance, coordination, documentation and risk management. The Project Manager will not lead the implementation directly but will own all project management deliverables, support planning efforts and ensure that governance structures (e.g., weekly project meetings, steering committees) are effectively maintained. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project management, preferably within HR systems or Workday environments, with the ability to proactively manage timelines, dependencies, risks and communications across multiple workstreams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, HR or related field.
  • 10+ years of project management experience, ideally in HR systems.
  • Prior experience managing Workday projects, preferably HCM, Payroll & Time Tracking.
  • Experience as a client project manager working directly with implementation partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA).
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and dependencies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the PMO function for the Workday implementation, ensuring structured project governance, control, and coordination across all project workstreams.
  • Facilitate and manage all project governance routines, including weekly project meetings, steering committee meetings and leadership updates.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project management documentation, including project plans, timelines, decision logs, communication plans, and stakeholder maps.
  • Own and manage the RAID log and ensure proactive tracking, follow-up and escalation where needed.
  • Support project planning and readiness activities by collaborating with stakeholders and the implementation partner to align on deliverables and timelines.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities, ensuring that project dependencies are identified and tracked and that tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Monitor day-to-day progress and help identify gaps, blockers, or risks early, driving resolution through collaboration and structured follow-up.
  • Support project leadership with decision-making by providing clear and timely information, insights, and status reporting.
  • Contribute to change management and training planning by aligning timelines and deliverables with business readiness milestones.
