About The Position

The Workday Potential Accounting Center Consultant will lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday Accounting Center solutions for global clients. This role is responsible for transforming business events into accurate journal entries, automating accounting processes, simplifying reconciliation, and driving rich financial insights. Key duties include designing and maintaining user-defined rules, managing high-volume data integration, performing detailed financial and operational analysis, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop best practices, and deliver training, empowering clients to fully leverage the Workday Accounting Center for efficient and transparent financial management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years implementing financial systems (Workday, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Workday Accounting Center Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience transforming business processes into system configurations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end Workday Accounting Center solutions (design, configuration, testing, deployment).
• Manage accounting transformation and automate journal creation using Workday rules engine.
• Optimize reconciliation, data consolidation, and close processes for accuracy and insights.
• Integrate operational data, revenue, expenses, and cash transactions into accounting workflows.
• Collaborate with finance, IT, and project management teams for seamless system integration.
• Document system configurations and provide client training for enhanced adoption.
• Stay current with new Workday Accounting Center releases and updates for best practices.
• Ensure all processes adhere to compliance and audit standards.
