Groundswell is seeking a Workday Integration Lead who will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of HR technology and integration architecture to provide innovative solutions within the Department of Defense (DoD) environments. The Workday Integration Lead primarily works with Human Resources and Information Technology teams. This role will create and maintain system integrations and configure related security roles, business processes, and their associated security policies. This role also partners with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure solutions are scalable, effective, and fit within broader information technology infrastructure.

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and document the Workday integration systems using Orchestrate, Core Connectors, and Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
  • Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs to support the entire integration deployment lifecycle
  • Possess solid understanding of the business process, workflows, and data requirements for Workday integrations across HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Time, and Compensation
  • Partner and build relationships with stakeholders to align on objectives and advance Workday adoption and ease of use
  • Research problems, identify opportunities, and seek opinions and feedback on suggested solutions
  • Translate business requirements into system requirements
  • Research integration failures, perform root cause analyses, and report back to management and business leaders
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
  • Workday Integrations Certification (Orchestrate for Integrations, Extend, and Studio Certifications are a plus)
  • Minimum 7 years total work experience with 5 years’ in HCM, HRIS, or Integrations experience (multiple projects)
  • Must have experience leading multiple implementations (minimum 2) of Workday, with demonstrated Workday technical and integrations experience
  • Ability to work with multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Experience translating business requirements into system requirements
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Great organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate and work productively as part of multiple fully remote and/or hybrid teams
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 15%)
  • Workday HCM Certification
  • Experience with Orchestrate for Integrations
  • Experience with Middleware (Boomi, Apache Kafka, MuleSoft)
  • Candidate local to the DC metro area
