About The Position

This position serves as the Workday Integration Analyst & Developer on the Information Technology team. Reporting to the Workday Integration Lead the Integration Analyst & Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining integrations between Workday and external systems to facilitate seamless data exchange across HR, Finance, Payroll, and Student. This position supports both inbound and outbound interfaces, ensuring data integrity, performance, and compliance with best practices. In addition, this role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, vendors and technical teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, troubleshoot integration issues and product high-quality documentation while supporting system upgrades and go-lives.

Requirements

  • The educational equivalent of Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least two years of related experience
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and travel throughout the State to various UA campuses as needed
  • Knowledge of University of Arkansas System (UASYS) information technology systems, initiatives, capabilities, and organizations
  • Knowledge of current technology and infrastructure environments
  • Knowledge of programming and documentation procedures, programming methods, program flowcharts, and operator instructions
  • Knowledge of various cloud technologies like EIB, Core Connectors, Document Transformation, and Workday Studio
  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS concepts, bulk data loading API’s, and database client protocols (preferably Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis, data transformation, conceptual data modeling, and meta-data management
  • Strong technical implementation skills
  • Solid presentation, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and task management skills
  • Effective management and team skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency skills with Web Services, SOAP, XML, XSLT, REST, JSON, HTTP, SSL, PGP, SAML, etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiency skills with SQL (e.g. building database procedures, functions, tables, views, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency skills manipulating data using Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated proficiency skills with web services and/or APIs (e.g. SOAP, REST)
  • Demonstrated proficiency skills with various data formats (e.g. XML, JSON, CSV)
  • Proficiency skills using IDEs (e.g. Eclipse, Visual Studio)
  • Proficiency skills using code management tools such as SVN, Git, or TFS
  • Ability to make decisions at the project team level and properly escalate those decisions that cannot be resolved on a timely basis
  • Ability to provide direction and use interpersonal influences to gain goal alignments with results versus activity-oriented outcomes

Nice To Haves

  • The educational equivalent of Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Significant experience building integrations and reports
  • Experience with change management related to ERP systems or other large enterprise system deployments
  • Scripting and/or programming experience
