About The Position
The Colorado School of Mines is seeking a Workday HCM Configurator to join its Business Systems and Financial Services Team. This full-time position is pivotal in providing technical expertise to enhance the Workday ERP system, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the institution. As the Workday HCM Configurator, you will play a crucial role in customizing and configuring the Workday HR and Benefits modules, collaborating with various stakeholders to translate their requirements into effective system configurations. Your responsibilities will include leading testing and training initiatives, thereby acting as a bridge between Human Resources, recruiting, benefits, and employment services. This role is essential for driving strategic initiatives and fostering a positive work environment at Mines. In this position, you will be responsible for diagnosing problems and customizing the Workday platform to align with business processes. You will work closely with the Security Administrator to configure security settings and design custom reports and dashboards. Your analytical skills will be vital in identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies and providing design recommendations to senior leaders. You will also be tasked with creating comprehensive documentation of system changes and maintaining effective communication with the Human Resources department and other campus business units. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will gather and analyze business requirements for system enhancements, support the implementation of new Workday features, and develop training sessions for end-users. Additionally, you will document customer interactions and maintain a knowledge base to facilitate quicker issue resolution. Continuous learning is encouraged, as you will stay informed about product updates and industry trends to enhance your technical knowledge and support capabilities. This position offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, requiring some presence on campus.
