To learn more about Railpen including our values, culture and purpose, visit our LinkedIn Life page here The role We are seeking a skilled Workday Functional Specialist (Accounting Centre) to join our Finance team and take ownership of the configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support of Workday Accounting Centre (WAC). In this role, you will ensure the accurate and efficient ingestion and transformation of financial data from source systems into Workday, enabling clean journal creation, transparency, and high‑quality downstream financial reporting. You will design and maintain data transformation rules for journal creation, enrichment, and classification, while also configuring key WAC components such as accounting rules, source mappings, validation rules, and journaling logic. A key part of the role involves troubleshooting issues with inbound data loads and journal creation, collaborating with IT teams to resolve data feed errors, and ensuring seamless, reliable data integration across the organisation. This position plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the accuracy and consistency of financial data throughout our reporting processes. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The person We are looking for a proactive and detail‑driven individual with experience working with Workday Financials, including hands‑on expertise in Workday Accounting Centre. You will have a good understanding of core accounting principles, financial data structures, and journal entry processing, enabling you to interpret financial information accurately and confidently. With good experience in data transformation logic and financial reporting within Workday, you will be comfortable managing and optimising financial data flows, and familiarity with Workday Prism Analytics will allow you to support enhanced data insights across the organisation. We are looking for someone who brings analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills, paired with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. You will be able to gather and interpret business requirements, translating them into well‑structured and effective system configurations. Requirements
