A large University is in need of a Workday Benefits and Absence functional analyst. They would prefer someone local, or within 2 hours of Miami. They also are open to seeing someone who's interested in converting at the end of 6 months. Ideal candidate is someone who knows the workday benefits from a configuration and functional perspective with the workday benefits certification. They're open to seeing someone with several years of the benefits experience without the certification, too. Additionally, they would really like this person to know workday absence, from a configuration and functional perspective. This role technically does not do the functional aspects of workday. They develop the test plans, execute the test plans. They don’t do the configuration, they do the functional. The IT org does the configuration. For system administration, they do get cases that come in because they are a support organization, which could be tier 2 or tier 3 cases. This role will manage the absence side, too. But she needs the benefits side more. She needs someone who has actually done the benefits – they administer all their benefits within workday? Ideally they are certified in benefits for workday. Or they have to have a strong history (7-8 years) in workday benefits. Soft skills need to be there- they move fast. It’s not about having the answer, it’s about getting them the answer. There’s a lot of stakeholder management. This person will manage the alignment, which is held with the leader of benefits and leader of absence, plus their team. They will need to be able to lay out where they are at with the work, what they need and need to be able to present to leaders. They also may be working with VPs, so they need to be polished and sharp. If we find someone benefits administration and stronger experience in absence, she can get them trained on the benefits piece. She’s willing to invest in the resource if they can bring forward half of what they need.
