Summary: The New York Mets is seeking an experienced Workday Functional Analyst to oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system, with a broader scope across additional Workday functional areas. This role will provide expert-level support for Workday HCM and extended modules, including Benefits and Payroll, and will serve as a key partner to the Human Resources team to enhance HR effectiveness and improve the overall employee experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Lead configuration and support across Workday HCM modules including Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Benefits, and Payroll Act as the primary subject matter expert for Workday HCM, providing guidance and support to HR and other business stakeholders Partner with our HR team to understand business needs and deliver effective Workday solutions Manage and prioritize Workday system enhancements, upgrades, and new feature implementations Provide support for Workday integrations with other internal and external systems as needed Track issues and identify potential risks with enhancements, communicating status and escalating concerns to Workday Business Systems Manager Create and deliver training materials and conduct knowledge sharing sessions for our HR team and end users on Workday functionalities Ensure data integrity and security within the Workday platform by adhering to best practices and compliance standards Document processes, configurations, and system changes to maintain an effective knowledge base Proactively recommend enhancements to end user experience as well as system improvements by staying up to date on Workday releases, new features, and industry best practices Build reports and dashboards to support HR Leadership and other stakeholders Assist with managing Workday security roles and permissions Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 4+ years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM configuration and support including at least 2 years in a lead or senior role Must have expertise in multiple Workday HCM modules such as Core HCM, Benefits, Absence, Talent & Performance, Compensation, and Payroll Strong understanding of HR business processes and how they are supported by Workday functionality Advanced Workday reporting skills (custom reports, calculated fields, dashboards) and EIBs Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Exceptional communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders Workday Pro certification in relevant HCM modules is highly preferred Experience with Workday integrations (Studio, RaaS, etc.) is a plus Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately An analytical mind and a passion/interest in bringing new ideas to increase efficiency of existing processes The above information is intended to describe the general nature, type, and level of work to be performed.
