About The Position
Aureon Consulting is seeking a Workday Financial Expert/Consultant for a contract position based in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is critical for the successful management and resolution of Workday Finance-related service requests. The consultant will be responsible for eliciting requirements and documenting use cases from various stakeholders, ensuring that the needs of the business are accurately captured and addressed. The position requires the ability to differentiate between existing system issues and new changes requested by the business, which is essential for effective problem resolution. The consultant will engage in business process mapping and collaborate with the Finance department and other enterprise stakeholders to document future state processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This involves performing thorough analyses to determine the impact of changes on the production system and sizing and estimating service ticket requests. Coordination of activities between cross-functional teams, internal and external stakeholders, and vendors is also a key responsibility, aimed at resolving production support issues efficiently. This position requires onsite work in Des Moines 3-4 days a month, making it essential for candidates to be local or willing to commute. The role is designed for individuals who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. Excellent communication skills are necessary, as the consultant will be expected to present and facilitate discussions with various groups, employing active listening and clear communication to build consensus.
