The Workday Financial Application Manager will help establish the governance framework that the Tools Team will operate under. You’ll own administration, maintenance, and optimization of Workday systems and processes across multiple teams: Accounting, Finance, and Procurement. You will provide manager support to guide a team to perform configuration and maintenance updates for Financial Management (FIN), Financial Planning (PLNF), Projects (PRJT), Expenses (EXP), Procurement (PRO), Accounting Center (ACC) and Strategic Sourcing (SRCEXP). Your ability to support your team will be integral to your success. This is a Hybrid- Remote position located in Frisco, TX. You must be within a commutable distance to our Frisco, TX office. You will be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis; when not working onsite, you will work remotely from your home location. We are not offering relocation assistance at this time. About the role: Lead team of strong WD tools Analysts to provide end-user support and assist with user inquiries and requests Experience and expertise with administration: configuration, maintenance, and user support of modules Financial Management (FIN), Financial Planning (PLNF), Projects (PRJT), Expenses (EXP), Procurement (PRO), Accounting Center (ACC) and Strategic Sourcing (SRCEXP). Analyze bi-annual release notes and understand how they impact configurations. Work closely with HCM support team on what we uptake and what we pass on Perform advanced research, analysis, and coordinate testing for both reported issues and new functionality within all modules Create and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) within various modules to provide timely and accurate information to management/stakeholders Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity Collaborate with internal teams (Accounting, Finance, Tax and Internal Audit) and IT teams to ensure systems are effectively aligned with IT business requirements and that financial processes and data within Workday comply with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls Assist with conducting data audits and implementing data quality measures to maintain data integrity to ensure accurate and up to date financial data elements (e.g., chart of accounts, vendor information, customer information, fixed assets) Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any audit findings related to systems and processes Create and maintain training materials and documentation to assist users in maximizing the capabilities of FIN/PAY Provide training and guidance to end-users on utilization of FIN/PAY functionality, self-service features, and best practices

Requirements

At least 8 years (we’d love more!) of work experience with at least one year of end-user experience with Workday Financials functional area (Core Financials/ Financial Accounting, Expenses, Procurement)
At least 3 years (we’d love more!) managing a team
BA/BS/BBA degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field preferred
Must have completed one Workday advanced skills course: Advanced Reporting and Analytics, Calculated Fields, Composite Reporting Fundamentals, Customer Accounts & Customer Contracts, Financial Accounting, Inbound EIB Integrations, Supply Chain Management (SCM).
Working knowledge of financial processes, accounting principles, and financial management practices
Knowledge of Workday Security
Ability to provide advanced research, analysis, and testing of reported issues and/or new functionality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams and explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders; able to escalate when needed
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
A strong desire to learn and grow in a challenging environment
Enjoy effectively leading your team

Nice To Haves

Workday Pro Financials certification or other relevant financial analysis certifications is a plus
Experience with system troubleshooting and problem-solving a plus
Experience with providing user support and training a plus
Some Change Management experience is preferred to support the bi-annual Workday releases as well as periodic updates
