We are seeking a Workday Engineer who will manage the organization's financial application portfolio, overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of business-critical software and applications. This role requires a seasoned software engineering practitioner with deep expertise in corporate accounting, systems integrations and delivering solutions to improve business efficiency. AVP, IT Engineering will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to ensure applications align with business objectives and support operational excellence.

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of applications across multiple platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Lead the design and implementation of system integrations to ensure seamless functionality across internal and external applications and platforms.
  • Develop and enforce application maintenance processes and policies to ensure smooth daily operations, addressing system issues, bugs, and performance problems proactively.
  • Ensure that applications meet regulatory compliance requirements and risk management standards, particularly in data security and privacy.
  • Mentor and manage a team of application specialists, fostering professional development and ensuring high performance.
  • Work in close collaboration with product management to ensure software is developed that anticipates future needs and maintains option value
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in IT and application management with deep understanding of accounting principles
  • 5+ years of experience in Workday Financial module with workday development technologies – EIBs, Cloud Connections, Rest APIs, Studio integrations and Reports
  • Proven experience in managing enterprise-level applications and systems, including ERP, or other business-critical platforms.
  • Strong expertise in application architecture, system integration, cloud technologies, and modern software development practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with application lifecycle management tools and software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
  • In-depth understanding of data security, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
  • Workday certification is a HUGE plus
