We are a strategic partner in advancing UW's teaching, learning, and discovery goals. Our Workday Operations team plays a key role in ensuring the University's cloud-based Workday platform meets the evolving needs of faculty, staff, and student workers. About the Role: We're seeking a Workday Application Engineer to support Tier 3 Application Management within Workday Finance, specifically in the Procurement and Supply Chain areas. This role is hands-on and collaborative-ideal for someone who enjoys digging into complex issues, making meaningful system improvements, and working with business partners to support one of the most vital platforms at the University.

  • Configure and maintain Workday Finance modules (Procurement, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, Supplier Contracts)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues as Tier 3 support
  • Analyze and enhance business processes and implement system updates
  • Collaborate with integration and reporting teams to ensure end-to-end functionality
  • Support testing activities (manual and automated) and manage release updates
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Contribute to documentation, training, and knowledge-sharing efforts
  • 3+ years of experience with enterprise SaaS platforms (Workday Finance preferred)
  • Experience configuring and supporting Finance systems (Procurement, Supply Chain, AP, or Supplier Contracts)
  • Strong skills in system troubleshooting, documentation, and testing (including automated tools like Kainos)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) environments
  • Familiarity with higher education or shared services organizations
  • Understanding of Workday business processes and interdependencies
  • Experience with knowledge base and case management tools
