About The Position

The Summer Facility Team Member position at Charleston Southern University is designed for CSU students who are eligible for work-study. The role aims to assist in fulfilling the university's mission, vision, and goals while providing students with valuable experience related to their educational or career objectives. The position runs from May 6, 2024, to August 11, 2024, and is classified as non-exempt (hourly).

Responsibilities

• Assist in fulfilling CSU Mission, Vision and Goals.
• Be highly knowledgeable of all Brewer Center policies and procedures.
• Verify current ID of CSU student, faculty or staff member.
• Monitor all participants and guests as they enter and exit the facility.
• Split time at the front desk and the weight room ensuring the building is running efficiently.
• Assist in the safety, supervision, and set-up of free play equipment in all recreation areas.
• Exhibit assertiveness and customer service in all interactions.
• Ensure cleanliness of all rooms in the facility including weight room, lounge, cardio room, and basketball gym.

Benefits

• $10/hour paid on the 15th of the month following the month when the work was performed.
• Free of cost housing (not including a meal plan) for the first 4 men and the first 4 women that apply.
