Student workers collaborate closely with department staff in supporting the organizational efficiency of the ASE-EM Business Office. Our office is looking for students who are flexible, friendly, effective written and verbal communicators, and able to work well alone and with a team. The ideal candidate will also have a background in customer service, a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality, and must be able to demonstrate the ability to take initiative. All training necessary will be provided.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in academic office management and processes.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong, independent, and collaborative work ethic.
• Current UT Austin student, enrolled/registered with fees paid for the current semester and in good academic standing.
• Financial aid work-study recipient.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with UT Austin's administrative systems.

Responsibilities

• Processing of billing payment vouchers and assisting with account reconciliation.
• Assisting with filing system and digitization of department files.
• Assisting with editing written communications and photo editing.
• Assisting with purchasing of office and lab supplies along with inventory management.
• Other duties as assigned.
