About The Position

The Student Ambassador position at Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) involves assisting departments with outreach, recruitment, and retention initiatives and projects. The role includes organizing activities that support the development of a campus community, assisting with new student orientations, and providing reception and clerical services for the First Resort Student Help Center. Requirements

• Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC.
• Must maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term.
• Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better.
• Must have financial aid in place to be eligible for Work Study.

• Familiarity with department policies and procedures.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists selected departments with outreach, recruitment, and retention projects.
• Collaborates with staff responsible for projects or initiatives.
• Assists with reception duties in First Resort as needed.
• Disseminates information and responds to student and staff inquiries.
• Composes and types communications using word processing.
• Supports Admissions recruitment programs by serving as a tour guide.
• Participates with recruiters at high school and community events.
• Assists with winter open house.
• Works with Counseling and Career Center staff to conduct new student orientation.
• Assists with implementation of community events, including the Youth Job Fair and Career Fair.
• Monitors bulletin board postings for adherence to college policy.
• Coordinates the car-pooling and housing boards.
• Distributes information about campus events.
• Assists with the operation of the LB Lunch Box.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
