About The Position

The Work Study, Student Ambassador position in the Student Affairs department at Eastern Campus serves as a first-tier customer service representative in Access & Completion departments. The role involves assisting students with browsing and registering for classes, completing action items, troubleshooting My Tri-C Space issues, and navigating student websites to retrieve necessary documents such as academic plans, FAFSA/financial aid worksheets, and class schedules. Additionally, the Student Ambassador will assist with New Student Orientations, Registration Express, Success Week, and other campus events and activities. The position requires the ambassador to become knowledgeable about all Access & Completion programs and the resources available to students within the division to effectively interpret student needs and connect them to appropriate services.

Requirements

• Have completed at least 6 credit hours at Tri-C.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester.
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
• Adhere to College's confidentiality policy.
• Successfully pass background/drug screening.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service, reliability, effective leadership skills, and strong communication skills.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with browsing and registering for classes.
• Help students complete action items and troubleshoot My Tri-C Space issues.
• Navigate student websites to retrieve needed documents.
• Assist with New Student Orientations, Registration Express, Success Week, and other campus events.
• Provide support to students during peak periods.
• Conduct campus tours.
• Assist with on and off-campus events such as open houses, NSO, college fairs, and high school visits.
• Participate in leadership programs and attend student success workshops.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
