JOB TITLE: Work Study Student, Office Assistant DEPARTMENT INFORMATION: This would be in the front office of the Honors College. Answering phones, mailings, stuffing envelopes, campus errands, assisting faculty and staff. What type of clients are served in your department: students, faculty, staff, campus visitors, and parents of students. Job location: Honors College Pay rate or range: $12/hour JOB PURPOSE: Assist the front office associate as needed. JFNTMP ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Data input as requested, research, and helping faculty with things as they need it. Helping with hosting events. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Has begun post-secondary education. Experience: Working in an office environment, software proficiency, organization skills, filing and alphabetizing, attention to detail is critical. Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous office experience, past history of working with the public, broad range of office skills, software, copying, printer knowledge. EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS APPLICABLE TO CAREERS: This student will benefit from working with the public as well as faculty and staff. Gaining new software skills as well as research methods.
