About The Position

The Lab Aide position at Linn-Benton Community College involves assisting in lab and lecture rooms, as well as in a large prep room. The role may require occasional trips to the greenhouse and/or campus grounds to collect materials. Responsibilities include acting as a glassware washer and cleaning various lab equipment such as microscopes, computers, autoclaves, balances, incubators, and environmental chambers.

Requirements

• Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term
• Maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better
• Have financial aid in place to be eligible to work in a Work Study student employee capacity

Nice To Haves

• Experience with freshwater, temperate and/or tropical marine aquarium husbandry
• Experience with horticulture and greenhouse maintenance

Responsibilities

• Clean and put away glassware and lab equipment
• Clean lab rooms, set-up and break-down of labs
• Help take care of animals, help collect lab materials
