About The Position

The Lab Aide position at Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) is a Work Study role under the direction of the Department Chairs and Instructional Specialist. Students in this position will prepare class materials, construct demonstration equipment, assist in shop cleaning, and maintain the organization and upkeep of lab areas and equipment. This role is designed for students enrolled in the Mechatronics program, providing hands-on experience in a lab environment.

Requirements

• Must maintain enrollment in at least six (6) credits at LBCC.
• Must maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term.
• Must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better.
• Must be enrolled in the Mechatronics program.
• Must have financial aid in place to be eligible to work in a Work Study student employee capacity.

• Preference goes to second year students.
• First year students are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Clean up lab space and classrooms as directed.
• Assemble and stage requested demonstration materials as requested.
• Assist Instructional Specialist in tasks as directed.
• Assist in further development and understanding of Mechatronics course work and equipment as directed.
