About The Position

The Groundskeeper Assistant position at Linn-Benton Community College involves assisting Groundskeepers in performing routine work in caring for grounds, parking lots, and campus exterior. Requirements

• Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC.
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better.
• Requires basic knowledge and understanding of grounds and landscape maintenance.
• Requires reading and writing at a level sufficient to fulfill the duties to be performed for the position.
• Requires a valid Oregon driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer six months related experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine work in caring for grounds: lawn and flowerbed care including mowing, edging, blowing leaves, weeding, fertilizing, pruning, spreading bark chips, and irrigating.
• Vacuums and sweeps sidewalks and stairs.
• Washes windows.
• Maintains garbage collection and disposal.
• Responsible for snow removal of sidewalks, stairs, and parking lots when necessary.
• Perform minor equipment maintenance.
• Perform building maintenance and some custodial service when necessary.
