About The Position

Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is hiring for a Work Control Planner in Richland, WA. This position will support Navarro-ATL. Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD). Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities Responsible for developing work packages using HLMI Work Control Processes and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) for corrective/preventive maintenance, modification, fabrication select operational activities, expense-based project construction of 222-S Laboratory structures/systems/components. Applies knowledge of Work Control Planner principles and practices in assignments and related work. Under general supervision, analyze planning processes for efficiency and make recommendations to management. Prepare and/or verify accuracy of work orders and work activity schedules. Conduct planning meetings and provide planning status to project schedules. Provide technical recommendations to management when possible. Prepare, track, and control work orders, required to accomplish assigned activities. Provide miscellaneous planning as required by manager. Review and analyze work documents for proper classification, priority, and description. Prepare work documents in accordance with work control processes and procedures. With input from field work supervision, estimate and establishes man hours, material, and manpower, needed for job completion. Support material requisition. Develop work orders for low and medium risk/complexity jobs. Assist in the development of high risk/complex work orders. Provide guidance and mentoring to entry- level incumbents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) and 5 years’ practical work experience in maintenance or related area, or an equivalent combination of education (e.g., trade school degree) and directly related experience.
  • Knowledge of operational, maintenance work activities, and preventive maintenance planning is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Maintenance or construction craft experience, or Field Work Supervision experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of operational, maintenance work activities, and preventive maintenance planning at 222-S Laboratory or Category 2 Nuclear Facilities is desired.
