About The Position

The Worker's Compensation Orthopedic Editor will be responsible for the review and editing of Med-Legal reports. Medical writing and editing experience required.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years' work experience in Workers Compensation cases
  • Experience in Orthopedics and Pain Management preferred
  • Dependable and organized
  • Receptive to constructive criticism and feedback
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow up on assignments
  • Self-starter, proactive and works well with little supervision
  • Excellent analytical skills, likes to be accurate and attention to detail
  • Intermediate or higher skill level in WordPerfect and Word office
  • Associates degree or higher

Responsibilities

  • Must have experience with Med-Legal Worker's Compensation reporting
  • Must have experience with reviewing AME/QME reports
  • Must have thorough understanding of AMC Guides 5th edition and Labor codes 4663 & 4664
  • Exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgment, initiative and high standard of ethics
  • Follow any other instructions and perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor and his/her assignees
