About The Position

As the Maintenance & Safety Team Lead, you'll be responsible for the overall upkeep and safety of our campground. You'll supervise and mentor a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring all facilities, utilities, and equipment are operating efficiently and safely. You'll address maintenance needs, conduct regular inspections, and tackle unexpected challenges with a proactive and problem-solving mindset. This is a full time, hourly role that will begin in Mid-March 2026.

Requirements

  • Proven Maintenance Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience supervising or training others, with the ability to set priorities and motivate your team.
  • Technical Know-How: Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry systems, including use of diagnostic tools and safe repair methods.
  • Safety-Minded: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and familiarity with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Team Player: Positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with groundskeeping, landscaping, or irrigation systems
  • Pool and spa maintenance knowledge or certification
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certification
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Team: Supervise and mentor the Maintenance & Safety Team, fostering a positive, guest-focused, and productive work environment.
  • Keep It Running: Perform and oversee maintenance and repair work on campground buildings, cabins, utilities, vehicles, and infrastructure—including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Stay Ahead of the Game: Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs for buildings, equipment, and utilities to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of assets.
  • Safety First: Conduct regular inspections, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with OSHA and local codes.
  • Operate Equipment: Safely use and maintain tools and machinery such as tractors, mowers, power tools, and utility vehicles.
  • Be a Problem Solver: Troubleshoot issues with water, septic, and electrical systems to minimize guest impact and ensure smooth operations.
  • Guest-Focused: Interact with guests and team members with professionalism and warmth, assisting with maintenance-related needs.
