Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Data Center Technicians as part of our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). This trainee position requires the successful candidate report to a site location. Amazon has multiple WBLP trainee openings between January and March 2026. Trainees will participate in our 12-month work and training program in our Northern Virginia facilities.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with Manager
- STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education
Responsibilities
- Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability, escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required
- Serving as a contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors
- Performing on-call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management activities
- Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on your analysis of operational issues
- Successfully completing the 12-month Work Based Learning Program training curriculum, including all required safety certifications, technical competencies, and performance milestones.
