Caterpillar’s Customer Solutions Core Division is looking for a talented and passionate Sales Representative to join the Southern U.S. District team as a Work Tool Representative. This is a great role to drive sales at Caterpillar in a field-based role for someone interested in growing their career path by working directly with dealers. This role will cover 6 dealers across 5 states in the Southern U.S. region.

Requirements

  • Effective communications skills, relationship management and customer focus to be able to develop and engage others with a customer first mindset and maintain productive communications and relationships with a wide network of internal and external partners.
  • Decision making and critical thinking skills with ability to assess and prioritize risks, benefits and consideration of alternatives.
  • Working knowledge of the industry , its trends and regulatory environment.
  • Value selling skills with the ability to present products, technology or service costs and benefits in reaction to prospect or customer requests.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to present own position and listen to position of others in order to achieve win-win solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field
  • High level of autonomy in work with strong drive and organizational capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar products, machine work tools, and applications.
  • Previous experience with Cat Work Tool portfolio, ordering, and coordination
  • Experience in previous commercial roles involving dealer and/or customer facing interactions

Responsibilities

  • Design and assist dealers on the forecast, sales strategy planning, and sales techniques, supporting the rollout of new work tool products.
  • Perform regular sales performance reviews with dealers and ensure implementation of corrective actions where needed.
  • Act within the business process guidance on review and approval for variance programs and commercial actions.
  • Present products or services to stakeholders, answering any customer questions, and addressing their needs.
