What it's like to be a Secondary CTE Wood Tech Instructor As a Secondary CTE Wood Tech Instructor at Next Step of West Michigan, your day-to-day responsibilities will be both engaging and impactful. You will facilitate hands-on work sessions in our state-of-the-art woodshop, guiding students through essential carpentry techniques and safe manufacturing practices. Expect to develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that integrate fabrication skills with real-world applications. Collaboration is key; you’ll work alongside fellow instructors and support staff to create a structured, high-performance learning environment. Daily tasks will include assessing student progress, providing mentorship in the skilled trades, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
