Fast-paced custom manufacturing company located in New Castle, DE is seeking a well-rounded Wood Wizard /Craftsman to join our team. Candidate will be responsible for the scenic fabrication of set pieces, signs, custom stage platforms, stairs, flats, podiums, furniture and additional specialty items.   • Program & operate Laguna CNC Router using VCarve software
  • Work with additional equipment to include routers, sanders, saws, drills, etc.
  • Read and interpret plans, sketches and shop drawings
  • Work with designers and management to achieve customers’ satisfaction
  • Maintain a high level of production while maintaining quality
  • Respond to quick turn-around orders
  • Perform well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Determine type and dimensions of wood stock to be used
  • Nest to minimize waste or raw stock
  • Maintain & clean equipment and work areas
  • Perform related duties as assigned
  • MUST BE ABLE TO READ A TAPE MEASURE ACCURATELY
  • 2 years of VCarve programming experience
  • Trade school graduate or equivalent
  • Team player with positive attitude
  • Knowledge of shop practices and skill in using shop tools and equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints and translate into fabricated products
  • Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform related duties and responsibilities of this job including team lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Knowledge of plastics & Plexiglas, Auto Cad and SolidWorks a plus
  • Experience with laminates, tongue & groove and veneers desired
