About The Position
Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is seeking dedicated women who are passionate about helping others and embody the values of compassion and service. The Resident Advisor position is crucial in providing a safe and stable environment for homeless women and children at our emergency shelters located in Boise and Nampa. This role requires a commitment to the Mission's doctrine and constitution/by-laws, as well as regular attendance at a local church. The Resident Advisor will be responsible for overseeing and assisting guests, ensuring their needs are met while maintaining a secure and welcoming atmosphere. This position is available in both full-time and part-time capacities, with various shifts including swing and grave shifts, allowing for flexibility in scheduling. As a Resident Advisor, you will interact with guests in a positive and compassionate manner, assisting them with the intake process during the evening and helping them prepare for their day. You will oversee the completion of chores by guests, prepare lunches, and ensure the cleanliness of the facilities, which includes general cleaning and laundry duties. Additionally, you will be responsible for restocking supplies and clothing, performing data entry tasks, and may also participate in various fundraising events throughout the year. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment. Your contributions will not only help provide essential services but also support the spiritual mission of bringing individuals closer to God.
