About The Position

The Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) or Physician Assistant at Axia Women's Health is responsible for providing comprehensive care in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. This role involves performing physical examinations, conducting patient assessments, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care. The position is full-time, with no weekend work, and is based in Florham Park, NJ.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted New Jersey APN or Physician Assistant license.
• DEA Certification and NJ CDS.
• WHNP Board Certification from NCC or FNP Board Certification from ANCC or Physician Assistant Certification from NCCPA.
• Experience as an advanced practice provider in Women's Health (1 year required).
• Certification in and experience performing Colposcopies highly preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in performing Colposcopies.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and patient assessments.
• Conduct age-appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination.
• Perform IUD insertions and removals, endometrial biopsies, and work with pessaries.
• Consult with supervising physician or other clinicians as dictated by patient need and assessment findings.
• Participate in the overall coordination of patient care and ensure a smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators.
• Assist with daily patient phone triage and document patient interactions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care.
• Establish effective working relationships with members of the health care team, patients, and families.
